Just a brief comment to share with you regarding the effusive and 100% positive reaction to your interview with David Pakman. There did not appear a single negative let alone a neutral comment. After reading through 150 comments, I was shocked, but not surprised. I, like so many others, eagerly look forward to your appearances. Mr. Schmidt, you are in a league by yourself. I have never known a better-liked and respected commentator -- Republican or Democrat (except Bob Strauss, perhaps). Thank you for your many contributions to American political discourse.
Don't you think it's time for solutions instead of just calling for condemnation? A good place to start would be to completely scrap the FCC and write a new Communications Act! "Fair and Balanced" should be codified and failure should be met with the loss of license. We should be all pounding the table on this one before it's too late.
Steve, you are a true American Patriot. For context, I’d just graduated from a proud HBCU when Sen. Obama became President elect. Naive enough to believe that his representation could in-time soften racists ideals. Thank you for your ideological growth, articulations, and calls against demo gauging of all American sub-groups. Today, I feel suffocated by conservative colleagues and business peers persisting that Socialist takers (not special interests) are “threatening freedom”. That liberals are lazy etc. Often using dog whistlers. In your opinion, what is the best evidence or blurb even, that defends from such a dishonest narrative?
Hi Steve. I've been a contractor for the military, with varying levels of clearances, for about 20 years. At one point, I almost lost my clearance for legally visiting a prisoner and I had to defend myself in federal court. How in the world can trump, literally, try to overthrow the govt (it's the first thing they ask you), steal classified docs, show them around, and still get away with all of this? At what point does the the Republic defend it's self from this domestic threat? Are there no adults in the room to stop this because the Senate gives equal weight to less populated red states?
