President Biden
Hi Steve! Joe Biden was, arguably, the most centrist candidate the dems could've run in '20. On top of that, not to sound superficial but, he's an old white man that is a practicing Catholic, from coal country, with a gorgeous (to me) blonde haired, blue eyed wife. Yet, with all of this, maga and their allies have painted him as some kind of hyper-liberal leftist...and I'm not even talking about MTG's unforced error, comparing him to FDR and LBJ. What would they do with a President Sanders or Warren? Do they know they're lying and just trying to muddy the water? President Biden is the best POTUS of my lifetime. I'm 54.
WHAT will work?
I’m a member of a community Indivisible political action group. Indivisible groups nationwide sprang up in the wake of Trump’s election in 2016. They think texting banking and postcarding are effective and communicate the urgency of the current political crisis. I don’t. I think people delete the texts without reading them and throw the postcards away. Last week the fascists of CRU came here for their second annual “awards” convention. The response, waving around signs proclaiming LOVE WILL CONQUER HATE from the driveway of the venue, made zero impression on the attendant fascists and the ticket holders streaming through the doors. What can we DO? What is an effective messaging strategy that will communicate the sense of urgency and the determination needed to meet this moment? To make sure Donald Trump doesn’t ever again attain the WH? Thank you.
Can you explain the Republican party's rank hypocrisy?
As Trump spells out his plans for his fascist grab of power if he returns to office, why are the majority Republicans silent knowing full well that if Biden suggested such a power grab they would vigorously denounce him as a dictator?
Why give the onlooker a pass?
Is it a crime to be married to someone and watch them do unmeasurable damage to a country and potentially more with a dumbass smirk, dressed in uncool materialistic shit acting like you are proud to be a part of the clown show? If it isn’t a crime to watch someone commit one it should be. I am aware Malania isn’t in the spotlight supporting her wonderful husband and it’s uncool to take shots at someone like her. But don’t you think we should remind her that she will go down in history as the fake wife to a dictator that destroyed our democracy? Not going to change any Trump voters mind with all of his indictments ect. If his wife leaves him in the middle of his campaign wouldn’t that peel a couple voters off of him? It’s gross to try to breakup a marriage but I think this one is fair game. They are both evil in different ways and my daughters future depends on this election. So I say let’s put some pressure on the worst ever First Lady. She was a disgrace.
Why no traditional "conservative" party?
Hi Steve. I’ve become blue in the face (no pun intended) asking others why sensible conservatives like Liz Cheney haven’t bailed on the now insane Republican “party” and formed a new traditionally conservative party. I am NOT referencing No Labels, Third Way, or any “moderate” third party, but a *conservative* party. I have yet to receive a satisfactory explanation. It seems to me that there are millions of “Never Trumpers” who can’t bring themselves to vote for Biden either because he’s too liberal for them. Therefore, they feel they have no real choice in the upcoming election and may just stay home, in which case Trump may win. These conservatives, however, would likely vote for an “old-school Republican," thereby ensuring Trump is not elected. Steve, I respect you as the most savvy politico there is, so please give me your take on this. Thanks!
