Electoral College

The Electoral College has been a major obstacle to American Democracy, and almost led to the end of our Constitutional Republic on Jan. 6, 2021. It still may in 2024. Do you see this anti-democratic mistake by the Founders being abolished or circumvented within the next 10 years—or ever?

Why hasn't Republican attorney Cleta Mitchell been indicted?

Why hasn't Republican attorney Cleta Mitchell been indicted? Mitchell was an active participant during the Saturday call with Trump. She complained to Raffensperger that she asked for voting records from his office but hadn't received them. She also claimed that more than 4,000 people voted in Georgia despite having moved out of the state. On the call, Raffensperger's general counsel, Ryan Germany, said that the data was incorrect. NPR

Future leaders

I'm an aging boomer (70) and am very concerned about the aging of many of the leaders, especially on the Dem side right now. I have been disappointed by Biden's lack of awareness and thus not showing the country a new group of young, moderate leaders are being prepared to take over and keep the country between the rails It just seems there are plenty of young, crazy repubs., and dems have all the oldsters walking around making no sense sometimes and fervently holding positions that should have been passed to a younger leaders 2 cycles ago. Your thoughts on this?

The Democrats. Again.

Biden is doing so many great things that are already helping ordinary Americans. Meanwhile, the Democrats are doing nothing to spotlight accomplishments or to highlight the huge mistakes and gaffes and lies and the corruption of the GOP, which is nothing anymore but a subservient hype squad for Donald Trump. Is there anything that could galvanize the Democrats to actually FIGHT HARD and play the game they’re in at this crucial moment?

Incarceration

It seems that the disgraced former POTUS has racked up enough felony charges that were he anyone else in America, he’d be looking at time in a small room with limits on communication, behavior, wardrobe, activity, and social interaction. Where would you put him? It seems that Leavenworth might be too hard for the Secret Service. Maybe a self contained cement building on a military base where he could be placed, guarded, and kept from trying to incite violence. He deserves prison time if convicted. Should that be such a hard thing to do? A criminal is not king, god or president, and should have consequences that meet the crime.
